Governor Punjab, Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) has directed the concerned authorities to promote the game of cricket at university level so that educated and talented young men could get place in national cricket team. While addressing a meeting here on Monday, the governor said that educational institutions and cricket clubs at district level are like a nursery for the game of cricket.

Among others, PCB chairman, Shaharyar M. Khan, and senior officials also attended the meeting.

Shaharyar Khan on the occasion said that all government universities would be given representation in district cricket associations.
